A celebration of every facet of fiber — yarn, fleece, and the animals it comes from, plus spinning and weaving gear, pottery, buttons, classes, and demonstrations across one full autumn weekend in the valley.
A wander through the barns, the fleece sale, and the demos. Tap the arrows or dots to browse.
The Shenandoah Valley Fiber Festival fills the Clarke County Ruritan Fairgrounds with makers and shepherds from across the region. Browse yarns and raw fleece, meet the alpacas, sheep, and goats behind the fiber, and pick up everything from buttons and spinning wheels to pottery, hats, and finished knits.
Classes run Friday through Sunday, with festival memorabilia, fleece for sale, and the sanctioned Pygora goat & fleece show throughout the weekend. The festival is a registered 501(c)(3) — much of each year's proceeds goes back into the surrounding community.
Please Note: pets are not allowed on the grounds, but service animals are always welcome. Winchester, VA is the nearest city for lodging.
Our growing roster of indie dyers, mills, makers, and guilds joining us this year. Search by name or jump to a letter.
Grab a bite or a coffee between booths — food and drink vendors on site all weekend.
